    Adaptive Backstepping-based H∞ Robust controller for Photovoltaic Grid-connected Inverter

    To improve the robustness and stability of the photovoltaic grid-connected inverter system, a nonlinear backstepping-based H∞ controller is proposed. A generic dynamical model of grid-connected inverters is built with the consideration of uncertain parameters and external disturbances that cannot be accurately measured. According to this, the backstepping H∞ controller is designed by combining techniques of adaptive backstepping control and L2-gain robust control. The Lyapunov function is used to design the backstepping controller, and the dissipative inequality is recursively designed. The storage functions of the DC capacitor voltage and grid current are constructed, respectively, and the nonlinear H∞ controller and the parameter update law are obtained. Experimental results show that the proposed controller has the advantage of strong robustness to parameter variations and external disturbances. The proposed controller can also accurately track the references to meet the requirements of high-performance control of grid-connected inverters

    LSTM-Attention-Embedding Model-Based Day-Ahead Prediction of Photovoltaic Power Output Using Bayesian Optimization

    Photovoltaic (PV) output is susceptible to meteorological factors, resulting in intermittency and randomness of power generation. Accurate prediction of PV power output can not only reduce the impact of PV power generation on the grid but also provide a reference for grid dispatching. Therefore, this paper proposes an LSTM-attention-embedding model based on Bayesian optimization to predict the day-ahead PV power output. The statistical features at multiple time scales, combined features, time features and wind speed categorical features are explored for PV related meteorological factors. A deep learning model is constructed based on an LSTM block and an embedding block with the connection of a merge layer. The LSTM block is used to memorize and attend the historical information, and the embedding block is used to encode the categorical features. Then, an output block is used to output the prediction results, and a residual connection is also included in the model to mitigate the gradient transfer. Bayesian optimization is used to select the optimal combined features. The effectiveness of the proposed model is verified on two actual PV power plants in one area of China. The comparative experimental results show that the performance of the proposed model has been significantly improved compared to LSTM neural networks, BPNN, SVR model and persistence model

    Optimization of Induction Quenching Processes for HSS Roll Based on MMPT Model

    To improve the comprehensive performance of high speed steel (HSS) cold rolls, the induction hardening processes were analyzed by numerical simulation and experimental research. Firstly, a modified martensitic phase transformation (MMPT) model of the tested steel under stress constraints was established. Then, the MMPT model was fed into DEFORM to simulate the induction quenching processes of working rolls based on an orthogonal test design and the optimal dual frequency of the induction quenching process was obtained. The results indicate that the depth of the roll’s hardened layer increases by 32.5% and the axial residual tensile stress also becomes acceptable under the optimized process. This study provides guidance for studying phase transformation laws under stress constraints and the optimization of complex processes in an efficient manner

    Formability of a HSAS Based on Hot Processing Maps and Texture Analyses

    Aiming to improve the formability of a HSAS Docol 1500 Bor, hot processing maps were obtained based on Prasad, Babu and Murty instability criteria. The hot processing maps based on the above instability criteria are similar and the explanation of its similarity is given. Recrystallization and misorientation in typical quenched specimens were observed by using SEM with a EBSD system. It was found that the fraction values of HAGBs in quenched martensite are all below 0.4 under experimental conditions. Flow location bands occurs at lower deformation temperatures and higher strain rates. The textures in martensite mainly include ⟨110⟩ / / ND and ⟨110⟩ / / RD components. Based on N-W OR, the textures in deformed austenite are mostly ⟨111⟩ / / ND and ⟨112⟩ / / RD⟩ components. Prasad and Babu instability criteria are more conservative than Murty instability criterion in obtaining the processing maps of the tested steel. To reduce the anisotropy of quenched workpieces because of the textures at room temperature, the quenching temperature in the stamping process of the tested steel should be lower

    Mechanistic Study of Visible-Light-Induced Photodegradation of 4-Chlorophenol by TiO 2− x

    TiO2−x Nx powders with low N-doping concentrations (0.021<<0.049) were prepared by annealing commercial TiO2 (P-25) under an NH3 flow at 550°C. Regardless of UV or visible case, the photoactivities of the samples decreased as x increased, and TiO1.979N0.021 showed the highest activity for the 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) decomposition under the visible-light irradiation. The visible-light response for N-doped TiO2 could arise from an N-induced midgap level, formed above the valence band (O 2p). Electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements and the radical scavenger technologies gave the combined evidence that the active species (•OH and O2•−) are responsible for the photodecomposition of 4-CP over TiO2−xNx under the visible irradiation.     Risk portfolio on modern finance has become increasingly technical, requiring the use of sophisticated mathematical tools in both research and practice. Since companies cannot insure themselves completely against risk, as human incompetence in predicting the future precisely that written in Al-Quran surah Luqman verse 34, they have to manage it to yield an optimal portfolio. The objective here is to minimize the variance among all portfolios, or alternatively, to maximize expected return among all portfolios that has at least a certain expected return. Furthermore, this study focuses on optimizing risk portfolio so called Markowitz MVO (Mean-Variance Optimization). Some theoretical frameworks for analysis are arithmetic mean, geometric mean, variance, covariance, linear programming, and quadratic programming. Moreover, finding a minimum variance portfolio produces a convex quadratic programming, that is minimizing the objective function ðð¥with constraintsð ð 𥠥 ðandð´ð¥ = ð. The outcome of this research is the solution of optimal risk portofolio in some investments that could be finished smoothly using MATLAB R2007b software together with its graphic analysis

    Juxtaposing BTE and ATE – on the role of the European insurance industry in funding civil litigation

    One of the ways in which legal services are financed, and indeed shaped, is through private insurance arrangement. Two contrasting types of legal expenses insurance contracts (LEI) seem to dominate in Europe: before the event (BTE) and after the event (ATE) legal expenses insurance. Notwithstanding institutional differences between different legal systems, BTE and ATE insurance arrangements may be instrumental if government policy is geared towards strengthening a market-oriented system of financing access to justice for individuals and business. At the same time, emphasizing the role of a private industry as a keeper of the gates to justice raises issues of accountability and transparency, not readily reconcilable with demands of competition. Moreover, multiple actors (clients, lawyers, courts, insurers) are involved, causing behavioural dynamics which are not easily predicted or influenced. Against this background, this paper looks into BTE and ATE arrangements by analysing the particularities of BTE and ATE arrangements currently available in some European jurisdictions and by painting a picture of their respective markets and legal contexts. This allows for some reflection on the performance of BTE and ATE providers as both financiers and keepers. Two issues emerge from the analysis that are worthy of some further reflection. Firstly, there is the problematic long-term sustainability of some ATE products. Secondly, the challenges faced by policymakers that would like to nudge consumers into voluntarily taking out BTE LEI

Productivity of cooperative in Pelalawan was highly but efficiency still low. Profit and income were highly, even liquidity of cooperative very high, and solvability was good

    Differential cross section measurements for the production of a W boson in association with jets in proton–proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV

    Measurements are reported of differential cross sections for the production of a W boson, which decays into a muon and a neutrino, in association with jets, as a function of several variables, including the transverse momenta (pT) and pseudorapidities of the four leading jets, the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta (HT), and the difference in azimuthal angle between the directions of each jet and the muon. The data sample of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb[superscript −1]. The measured cross sections are compared to predictions from Monte Carlo generators, MadGraph + pythia and sherpa, and to next-to-leading-order calculations from BlackHat + sherpa. The differential cross sections are found to be in agreement with the predictions, apart from the pT distributions of the leading jets at high pT values, the distributions of the HT at high-HT and low jet multiplicity, and the distribution of the difference in azimuthal angle between the leading jet and the muon at low values.United States.
